Whatsoever State I Am In to be Content.

Task-filling moments like finishing a triathlon or an ironman often present us with those over-the-top beautiful moments of completeness, and I wonder if the joy we experience is but a sampling of heaven and our life there.

Charles Stanley writes: "God has more in store for us on the other side than we could ever imagine."  Perhaps we get samples of heaven even in this life.  Perhaps we should not be afraid to dream big, dreaming dreams bigger than our fears.

I  have cancer, and dreaming big takes more courage when side effects of drugs bring me down and limit my activities.  The only way to get by is by giving it all to God.  Go on and give Him the bad days when fatigue is oppressive, when the mind is a fuzz of randomness, when the want-to seems hidden from view, far, far away.

And too, go on, give Him the good days, when life seems to have dawned new upon my health and attitude.  Go on live with hope in spite of the knowledge that the bad moments will return.   I will not fear because God has placed His unshakable hope within me, and I have determined that I won’t let the sunshine of today be blocked by the clouds of tomorrow. And God is in charge of the sunshine, and God is in charge of the clouds. God is in charge of  my hope for this day and my dream of life with Jesus.

"I know that whatsoever state I am in to be content...."  God's got this. Praise God
